Rebates by Electric Utility

  • LADWP customers

Most of the City of Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Hills and Studio City. LADWP pays per-ton rebates on qualifying heat pumps, with higher amounts for ductless systems than for ducted ones. The system must meet efficiency ratings, and the paperwork includes the permit and an itemized invoice.

  • SCE customers

Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Southern California Edison programs change often, and some run through statewide offerings. We check what is open for your address when we quote.

  • Burbank Water and Power

Burbank homes. BWP runs its own customer programs, separate from LADWP and SCE.

  • Glendale Water & Power

Glendale homes. GWP has its own programs, which we look up for each project.

2026 Update

What Changed This Year

  • The federal 25C tax credit for heat pumps and central AC ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025.
  • TECH Clean California and HEEHRA single-family incentives are fully reserved, with new requests on a waitlist.
  • TECH Clean California has said San Fernando Valley contractors will be able to offer its incentives again. We are watching for the launch.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about HVAC installation.

01How much is the LADWP heat pump rebate?

It is paid per ton and depends on the equipment type and efficiency rating. Ductless systems qualify for the higher tier. We confirm the current amount before you sign.

02Do I need a permit to get a rebate?

Yes, utility rebates generally require a permitted, code-compliant installation. It is one more reason not to skip the permit.

03Who files the rebate application?

We prepare the paperwork and walk you through submitting it, so nothing is missed.
