Options

Types of Central AC We Install

  • Single-stage

Runs at full power or off. The simplest and lowest-cost option for smaller homes with good ducts.

  • Two-stage

Runs on low most of the time. Quieter, steadier temperatures and better humidity control.

  • Variable-speed inverter

Adjusts output continuously. The quietest and most even option, and the best match for Valley heat and large homes.

Local Expertise

AC Installation Across Los Angeles

In Studio City, Burbank and Glendale, summer heat waves push well past 100°F, so we size for the real load and pick equipment that holds temperature without running flat out all afternoon. On tight hillside lots and close side yards in West Hollywood and the Hollywood Hills, we plan unit placement around noise and access.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about HVAC installation.

01What size AC do I need?

Square footage alone is not enough. We run a Manual J calculation that accounts for windows, insulation, ceiling height and sun exposure. An oversized unit cools unevenly and wears out sooner.

02Can you install a quieter outdoor unit?

Yes. Variable-speed condensers are much quieter at normal load, and placement matters as much as the model. Cities in the area limit equipment noise at the property line, so we plan the location with that in mind.

03Should I switch to a heat pump instead?

If your furnace is also old, a heat pump replaces both with one electric system and may qualify for utility rebates. See our heat pump installation page.
